During Sobro’s period as majority owner, Candidator has enjoyed a fantastic development. Sobro has truly given the word owner-partner a new meaning. The challenges and the support that the board has given me during my four years as CEO have been invaluable! I can only congratulate all the companies that will have Sobro as a majority owner. As for now, I look forward to the next natural step in Candidator’s journey, with EQT as majority owner. It will be very exiting!
Some examples of what we’ve achieved in recent years as an owner partner:
- Geographic expansion to Stockholm, Bergen and Oslo through four add-on acquisitions and greenfield establishment in Malmö, Gothenburg and Skövde. Most of the growth has been accomplished organically.
- Development of many new services and a proprietary business support system.
- Structural improvements internally with standardised processes and improved management control.
- Focused effort to ensure quality and customer service. For example, through significant investments in processes, infrastructure and safety.
- The management team was strengthened with people having great expertise and experience in developing similar companies.
- Great efforts to spread and maintain the company culture and to improve employee satisfaction, i.a. by measuring and following up.
- Key employees were offered incentive and ownership programs to help boost long-term commitment and a common goal to develop the company.
